Equipping for Evangelism

This is a new course which I have developed which enables ordinary members of the church to become familiar with what evangelism is all about and it helps to erode some of the unhelpful images of evangelism which we have inherited from the past.

The purpose of the course is as follow:-

  • To redefine the word evangelism for the 21st century church.
  • To allay fears and explode unhelpful myths about evangelism
  • To explore ways in which every Christian can be involved in the process of evangelism
  • To explore different methods and styles of evangelism and associated resources in order to determine appropriate models for your church / circuit

For many people in mainstream denominations like Methodism, the word 'evangelism' carries unhelpful connotations. My aim is to dispel these and offer a more creative approach which is more in tune with Methodism and the new culture of the 21st century.
