Along
with Canon Mark Brown and Rev. Lakshmi Jeffreys, I coordinate
a Regional Forum for Fresh Expressions. We are developing a
DVD of local Fresh Expressions and a BLOG for the forum. Click

Church in a Spiritual Age
This new workbook helps churches to engage more
effectively with the spirituality of contemporary Britain. A
meeting takes place in Nottingham on October 10th. Many people
are now engaging with contemporary spirituality in ways which
the church has been unable to do in the past.
Year of Prayer - Pray without
Ceasing
The
launch of the Year of Prayer took place at Nuthall Methodist
Church on June 11th. The aim of this initiative is to help Methodist
people to develop a more prayer-focused life and to explore
the different avenues of prayer which have inspired Christians

Alpha
Please
pray for the Alpha and Youth Alpha courses running across the
district. I will be speaking at Alpha Suppers and leading Awaydays
throughout the next few months. Please also pray that those
involved in running Alpha will be equipped by the Holy Spirit
for further work in this area and that those attending the courses
will move forward in faith.
