Fresh Expressions is an initiative, co-sponsored by the Anglican and Methodist Churches across the UK. It is the follow-on from Springboard but switches the emphasis from pure evangelism to ways in which the church is expressing itself in new ways in different parts of the world. The Anglican report "Mission Shaped Church" which was published last year contains a complete chapter on this subject and we are finding that fresh expressions of church are springing up all over the place, sometimes without being planned, and we need to work together to discover what God is seeking to do in this area.

Fresh Expressions Vision Day - Saturday November 3rd 2007

We are delighted to welcome Tim Lea and Rachel Jordan to lead us on this Vision Day at Melbourne Methodist Church, Debyshire. Tim and Rachel are both Associate Missioners and will bring to us new insights and experiences. This is the latest event organised by the Fresh Expressions Regional Forum for the East Midlands.

Please bring a group from your circuit who have special interest in starting or further developing a Fresh Expression of Church. Places are likely to fill up quickly. To book your place please download a booking form and send it to Rev. Lakshmi Jeffreys (01332 388687) together with your cheque for £10 payable to DDBF. Buffet lunch and refreshments are provided.

The PROSPECTUS of the Fresh Expressions can be downloaded from the Downloads page. This is an Acrobat (PDF) document and defines the initiative in great detail.

The Fresh Expressions team have produced a Mission Audit document geared directly towards those looking to start a Fresh Expression of Church. The booklets are £5 for 5 and can be ordered from Church House Publishing.
